Artist Content Engine

A 30-day content operating system built around batch shooting.

Who it's for

  • Musicians and artists running their own release campaigns
  • Creators who burn out producing one-off posts
  • Small teams supporting an artist across multiple platforms
  • Anyone with good footage and no system for using it twice

The concrete outcome

You can run a full release cycle from one or two batch shoots per month with a known content inventory and no daily panic.

Posting daily is not a strategy — it is a symptom of having no system. Artist Content Engine is a 30-day operating system: you define a brand world and content pillars, design repeatable franchises, map them onto a release cycle, then shoot in batches using a wardrobe and location matrix so one session produces weeks of assets. Edit recipes, cover frames, AI variation passes, BTS capture and a monthly inventory and performance review keep the machine running.

After working through it

What you'll be able to do

01

Define a brand world and three to five defensible content pillars

02

Design franchises that are repeatable without becoming repetitive

03

Map a release cycle from announce to post-release long tail

04

Architect a batch shoot that produces a month of assets in a day

05

Repurpose one setup into many distinct assets, not crops of one

06

Apply consistent edit recipes and cover frames across a catalogue

07

Run a monthly inventory and performance review that changes the next shoot

Contents

Module breakdown

Every module is a working stage of the pipeline with its own documents, decisions and checks.

M01

Brand World & Pillars

Decide what your account looks like before you shoot.

  • Brand world definition: palette, texture, environments, tone
  • Three to five content pillars with clear boundaries
  • Visual consistency rules across pillars
  • What you will never post — the exclusion list
M02

Content Franchises

Formats you can run twenty times.

  • Franchise design template: premise, structure, variable, cadence
  • Six worked franchise examples for artists and visual creators
  • Escalation and retirement — knowing when a franchise is done
  • Franchise-to-pillar mapping
M03

Release Cycle Map

Thirty days plotted against an actual release.

  • Phase structure: tease, announce, release week, sustain, long tail
  • Asset requirements per phase
  • Timing rules and spacing between heavy assets
  • Adapting the map for no-release months
M04

Batch Shoot Architecture

One day, one month of assets.

  • Wardrobe × location × pillar matrix for a single session
  • Setup order that minimises resets and light changes
  • Shot bank list: performance, detail, motion, static, BTS
  • Capture log so nothing is lost between shoot and edit
M05

Repurposing System

One shoot to many genuinely different assets.

  • Asset derivation tree from a single setup
  • Reframing, retiming, restructuring — three distinct outputs
  • AI variation passes that create new looks from existing footage
  • Avoiding recycled-content fatigue with variable rotation
M06

Edit Recipes & Cover Frames

Consistency at speed.

  • Named edit recipes per franchise with pacing and sound rules
  • Cover frame system for a coherent profile grid
  • Text and caption treatment as a supporting element, never the idea
  • Export presets and naming for a growing library
M07

Release Week & BTS

The heaviest week, pre-built.

  • Release-week asset checklist and posting order
  • BTS capture protocol during the batch shoot
  • Collaborator and feature coordination sheet
  • Contingency assets for a week that goes sideways
M08

Inventory & Review

Measure, then change one thing.

  • Content inventory sheet — what exists, what is scheduled, what is spent
  • Monthly performance review with pillar-level reading
  • One-variable change rule for the next cycle
  • Deciding what to kill, keep and scale

How to use it

Step-by-step path

Run it in this order the first time. After that, jump straight to the stage you're in.

  1. 01

Write the brand world and pick your pillars.

  2. 02

Design three franchises and map them to pillars.

  3. 03

Plot the 30-day release cycle and count required assets.

  4. 04

Build the batch shoot matrix from that asset count.

  5. 05

Shoot the batch, logging everything as you go.

  6. 06

Run the derivation tree and apply edit recipes per franchise.

  7. 07

Post to the cycle, then run the monthly review and change one variable.

  1. 01

    Concept

    Intent, reference language, constraint list.

  2. 02

    Pre-produce

Shot list, storyboard, props, locations, schedule.

  3. 03

    Shoot

Exposure, framing, movement, clean plates, coverage.

  4. 04

    Transform

Model-neutral AI passes driven by reference frames.

Sample module

M01 — Brand World & Pillars

Decide what your account looks like before you shoot.

Page excerpt

A pillar is not a topic, it is a boundary. Write each pillar as a sentence that also says what it excludes. 'Process' means the physical craft of making the work — it does not mean opinions about the industry. Boundaries make batch shooting possible, because you can decide in advance how many setups each pillar needs.

Rule: one shoot day should leave the edit with more assets than the month requires. Surplus is the whole point.

Questions

About this system

Do I need a music release to use it?+

No. The cycle map includes a no-release variant built around franchises and catalogue work.

Is this about hooks and captions?+

Hooks and captions are treated as supporting tools inside a franchise. The system is about production architecture, not copywriting formulas.

How much shooting time does it assume?+

One full batch day or two half days per month, plus light BTS capture.
